Gadsden/Leon PACT is a consortium early childhood providers, parents and community leaders who focuses on a community level investment in the social, emotional, developmental and behavioral well-being of young children and their families in the Gadsden and Leon County area.
PACT brings together the families of young children with the agencies who provide community based services to them as well as community leaders who understand the importance to the community to empower the entire Gadsden and Leon early childhood community to develop a truly family driven service system.
Since young children’s well-being is so closely tied to the emotional and physical well-being of their caregivers, the best way to improve the young child’s well being is through coordinated services that focus on the needs of the child’s entire environment,. These services should be provided to parents, extended family members, home visitation services, providers of early care and education, as well as mental health professionals, when needed.
Gadsden/Leon PACT with the help of Whole Child Leon has brought together many of the providers of young children services in Gadsden and Leon Counties in an effort to identify the barriers to effective and timely services to these children and their care givers. And reduce them.
